Sorry for the lack of communication (Michael).
Here is a very quick summary of what’s on the radar at the moment;
- Looking forward to Leaders Retreat this weekend. We have most of our crew going which is excellent. I’m really excited about just being with my leaders and hanging out with the other great leaders from around the state.
- Sue Vawser started as our new Youth Administator. She will be in the office on Wednesdays 9a-2.30p. She brings a wealth of experience and is committed to youth ministry. She is married to Clint and has two amazing kids, Hannah and Tyler. The interesting thing about Sue is that she was one of my awesome youth leaders when I was a teenager. Good to have you back Susy!
- Some of you might be saying well what does that mean for Cat! Well Cat will move to an honorary position which will free her up to be a little more fluid in her approach to youth min. We are looking at the possibilities of her being more involved with the worship and creative arts as well as have a real focus on reaching the girls at Penrhos. Thank you Cat for your committment to youth and we look forward to what God has in store next!
- Into the second week of ‘Blokes’ with a group of young men from Como. It has in my oppinion been very good. The guys never cease to amaze me. The level of depth already achieved in 2 weeks has been great. BTW ‘Blokes’ is a Scripture Union small group mentoring program for young men. Speak to the crew at SU or give me a yell if you want more info. Apparently after having a chat with the principal at Carey, Rowan Clark who happens to be a good mate, says that it going really well there too.
Well that’s a bit of an update!
Can i leave you with this verse from
Hebrews 3:7 So, as the Holy Spirit says:
”Today, if you hear his voice,
8do not harden your hearts
Keep your Heart soft!
God Bless
