What do you reckon?  I think Woosh may have stepped over the line a bit here!  I kind of wish that he would just say that it was a really really bad performance!

Luke 14:10-11“When you’re invited to dinner, go and sit at the last place. I have just been thinking about these words and wondering what this looks like in my world?  I was once told by someone that I was an arrogant so and so and it was pretty devastating because I have always tried to be a person of humilty.  Maybe as a leaders we will cop this even if it is not true.  However i think that we need to be real careful in how we come across when we talk to people and also our demenours when interacting with people.  It’s so tricky!

A bit of an Update!

1. I’ve just had a pretty full on few days.  I spoke a few times on the weekend.  At youth church Friday night and Sunday Morning.  Go here if you are interested in having a listen;  http://www.spcc.org.au/audioonline.html
   I spoke on “Living in 3d”!  It was pretty cool we all had 3d glasses.  The message was about naturally and relationally reaching out to our mates.  I think it went ok?
2. Also just want the world to know that i have managed to buy a new car!  Images coming soon!  A red rocket 94 daihatsu charade, 4 cyl 1.3 for 1500 bucks.  We are very happy even though it’s early days.  Probably will have to do some work but thats to be expected.
3. It’s amazing how much flack you cope for driving a little car!  It’s like the size of your car is directly proportional to the size of your %^$#!  I think you know what i mean!  Oh well less than 50 bucks to fill the tank and will probably last at least 2 weeks!  Insurance and rego heaps cheaper too!  I guess I’m a bit past all that now, needing to prove how big it is!

Who got the better deal, WCE or Carlton?

I just read an interesting article here http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sto…rom=public_rss that basically has a look at who got the better deal out of Carlton and West Coast after 10 rounds.

I reckon it is a bit hard to tell yet.  However I must admit that I thought losing Judd was the end of the world!  However I like the looks of Kennedy (at the mo up there as one of my favs) and I’m certain Masten with a bit more bulk and experience, will be a sensational player for us.  Pick 20 I’m pretty sure is Notte.  Apparently doing all the right things at the Swans.  (Go the mighty black and whites!)

Judd played a great game against Port. Mongrel!

So what do you reckon?  Who got the better deal, us or them?

Neale Fong calls it WA’s Premier Christian Sporting event!  I have to agree, this year was no exception!  Here are some of my highlights;

1. Saturday night was great!  Bec’s message was very good!  One of our girls responded to the gospel which was very exciting. 
2. I know i’m a bit biased, but the South Perth Youth Band did a fantastic job!  They worked so hard and it showed!  Guys God used you in an amazing way!
3. Brendon great job mate!  I said to someone that it’s amazing how syg just happens.  Everyone knows what they need to do and they execute it so well!
4. Thank you adult Voli’s!  Without you the weekend wouldn’t work.
5. Catching up with everyone was great!  I’m really looking forward to the YV refresher this year.  I think the two events are very closely linked and flow into each other really well.
6. Beating Thornlie at indoor cricket was great!  Bum it wasn’t the grand final!  Apparently they have not dropped a game in 5 years.  Eventually they went on and won the GF well done Thornlie boys!  I guess we played our GF before we got to the finals.

Well that’s about it for now!  It will be interesting to get the feedback and see what we can do to make 2009 even better than 2008.

West Coast do it for Flash!

Tanking, who said we were tanking?  I know it’s only one win, but gee there were a lot of fantastic things that came out of the game for us last night.  The kids were brilliant and the seniors led the way!  In fact I’m pretty sure that we won most positions on the ground.  I really like what Kennedy brings to the club.  He seems to straighten us up and has an excellent set of hands.

How about that interchange deal?  What an absolute joke hey!  Apparently they got it wrong!  So it will be interesting to see what happens as a result.  I think Woosha wants the goal back!

I guess the true test will be next week when we face a very good Collingwood on their turf.  I believe the boys will go in fairly confident after smashing Adelaide last night.
